I was not compensated for this post, however I did receive a sample of 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum 1 oz along with a sample of Matrixyl Synthe’6 Serum 1 oz (see review) from the company Timeless Skin Care in change for my review.
All opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.
About the Product
The Timeless serum collection contains high concentrations of hyaluronic acid and matrixyl that you won’t find anywhere else. All natural and paraben free, we don’t use excess ingredients to make up for the lack of actives. We like to keep it simple and effective. This product contains: Vitamin C – antioxidant that evens skin tone and helps build collagen. We use a 20% concentration of L-ascorbic acid for maximum benefit. Vitamin E + Ferulic Acid – used to extend the life and effectiveness of vitamin C. Normal C serums will expire in a month or less. Our product is guaranteed fresh and effective for 3 months. Hyaluronic Acid – one of the most powerful hydrating and moisturizing ingredients on the market today. Holds up to 1000 times its weight in water! And much, much more! Note: product may appear cloudy. This will dissipate after 1-2 weeks and is due to the product just being manufactured.
I didn’t have any kind of an allergic reaction to this. I only mention this because in recent years I’ve become allergic to things that normally wouldn’t be considered something “allergic”.
The face feel of this product is amazing. I knew that it being a serum it might be a little heavier than a normal liquid moisturizer, but it was thick without being slimy and felt weighty on my skin without being heavy, if that makes any sense.
Personally I like the smell of it. It doesn’t smell like a chemical, but it doesn’t smell like an orange or a lemon or a lime that I normally associate with vitamin C. Some people may think it smells bad, but I don’t think it does.
I’m not a beautician, so I’m not sure that I can see the difference of my skin between my before and after. Actually if the product came with a “what you should expect” list I probably could describe better what it has done for me. I have used it regularly and I do feel better moisturized, but I probably would have felt that way if I’d just been using a regular moisturizer since I wasn’t using any at all before.
Sadly the bottle leaked when I took it on vacation. It seemed to be closed all the way but I found serum in the plastic bag that I put it in when I went to travel.
Also when I looked at it after a few weeks of owning it, the serum had turned a brownish orange color. I’d read that this means it might not be “good” anymore, but I’m not sure if that’s true or not.
